"I am an experienced Chemistry Tutor of 4 years. I was the lead Chemistry tutor in the Academic Resources Center (ARC) at Worcester Polytechnic Institute where I studied Chemical Engineering (BS) & Management (MS). As lead chemistry tutor, I led 4x weekly group tutoring sessions of up to 25 students, as well some one on one sessions, (freshmen & sophomores, occasionally juniors) in general chemistry and coordinated with professors to stay up to date on class materials and express any areas of concern that came up among students. I also was a coordinator for the ARC for 2 years. As coordinator, I organized tutor schedules, prepared and led quarterly staff trainings, facilitated tutor mentorship groups, and managed the staff slack workspace. I worked closely alongside the Associate Director to ensure the ARC was running smoothly and students were getting the help they needed.

Since graduating in May of 2022, I have been working full-time in the medical device industry, but I began tutoring again on the side because I truly missed connecting with students. I tutored one high school student weekly (and virtually) in chemistry for 3 months until her school year ended. I have experience with in-person and virtual tutoring, as I tutored virtually at WPI during COVID for about a year and a half. I also have experience with both small group, large group, and one on one tutoring environments.

Finally, I am experienced in teaching study skills, organization skills, and time management. I find that many students have the knowledge they need to succeed, but lack either the confidence in themselves or the tools/study skills.
