"Hello and thank you for reviewing my qualifications. I am a degreed teacher with emphasis in Secondary English/Speech from ULL. I have taught in private schools and am now working as a substitute teacher in both the private and public schools in my area. I have tutored many students in both middle and secondary levels to achieve a better understanding of our language.

I am passionate about teaching. I want every student I teach to understand why a command of our language is essential and why reading for study/work/pleasure is not only valuable but rewarding. I teach how to notate, how to decipher new puzzling words, how to write clearly and distinctly. Our language is a composite of many other languages. Learning the history of the English language I believe helps students with vocabulary and sentence structure. My motto is: Make it relevant and learning will occur!

After I finished my degree, I went to work in the natural gas business in Houston. I founded my own consulting company and traveled all over North America working in client offices and speaking at conferences. It was so important that I had a good command of the English language to speak and write properly. That's why I really want to help students, because I know how important good language skills are!
