"As an educator, I have experience with students of all ages and various academic areas. I have taught students from preschool through college. Public school teaching experience includes multi-age/multi-grade classrooms and self-contained classrooms in kindergarten through sixth grade. Additionally, I have helped students prepare for state assessments. I taught learning strategies and test-taking skills two semesters at Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts.

Aside from these structured experiences, I have tutored students independently in the middle and high school age range. Additionally, I tutored international students in an English home-stay program in preparation for their attendance in American boarding schools.

In the area of special education, I have several experiences, as well. First, I have raised a child who was diagnosed with ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. As a professional, I have taught for the past four years in a special education program in southeastern Massachusetts. While teaching in public school, I worked with students at various times in regular classrooms who had various learning disabilities, hearing impairments, vision impairments, and various other emotional and behavioral disabilities.
