"I have over 25 years of experience teaching elementary school students, primarily fifth and sixth graders. While teaching all general subjects, I was given the opportunity to tutor students who might be struggling including high school and adult students. English grammar, math, and history at the elementary school level are areas of expertise for me. However, I also have experience teaching and tutoring students in other grade levels as well as adults learning English as a second language. I also hold the bilingual teaching authorization as well as a master's degree and a doctorate from UCLA in education.

I simply love the opportunity to help others achieve their goals or complete their classes successfully. As of late, I have had the opportunity to use my foreign language skills to tutor high school and college students who are taking Spanish classes.

Elementary school math including pre-algebra is where I am able to help students. I am able to develop a student's understanding of these important topics as prescribed by our Common Core State Standards.

English language development and grammar are passions of mine. These are subjects I love to teach and continue to develop my expertise within these.

I grew up speaking Spanish. But I also understand that simply growing up in a Spanish speaking home does not prepare one to teach a language. I received a minor in Spanish while I worked on my undergraduate degree in political science. My qualifications are both.
