"I'm Jera! I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors degree is Human Development and a minor in Psychology. After graduating I went to work at a children's home. I worked with students one on one on their school work. After my first year, I was asked to teach a small group of students who were all different levels when it came to their education. As I poured into these students, I fell in love with teaching and I decided to pursue my masters in Elementary Education and became a certified teacher.

Over the last 7 years, I have taught various grades K-5 including Title I intervention for math and reading. I have special training not only in teaching students to read, but also in them truly understanding what they just read. One of my approaches in teaching is to get to know my students, and the best way that they learn best. My teaching style is patience, and I always want my students to know they can succeed no matter their doubts or difficulties.
