"I have 37 years of teaching experience with primary students. I will be retiring as of June 2017. I still want to be involved and help children learn. A one to one experience would be ideal for me. I am looking forward to focusing in on one student's needs so I can personalize a program just for them.

Teaching reading is my strength! I love connecting with a student who can be successful but just hasn't found the key yet. I can help that child find their way. A strong combination of phonics and comprehension skills will be used . I can also give formal and informal assessments prior to the instruction and at the end. This will give a measure of progress.

Phonics and phonics rules are a big part of learning how to spell. I have a large number of resources to teach reading, writing, vocabulary and spelling.
