"I'm Destanie! I am currently studying at The University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in Early Childhood Education. Ever since I was in school, I have always had a passion for teaching because I enjoy helping others. My past teachers made me realize how important establishing a platform where learning can be fun and consistent. However, I realized that first it's important to welcome your students so they are comfortable.

So, I begin doing tutoring 3 years ago and made an impact on many lives. It was a great journey to be on and allowed me to prep myself before actually becoming a teacher. Throughout this journey I was able to do math, which is a course I'd say I'm good at. In addition, since my focus is Elementary, I did math courses at that level. I enjoyed every bit of it because I could see a growth in my students every time we met. This also allowed me to work one-on-one with the student making it easier to focus on one student. I not only did math, I also focused on vocabulary, spelling, and grammar.

I am an outstanding math tutor because this is one of my greatest subjects. I not only provide great answers, I also make sure to have steps that are reasonable to follow. This means I find a way to make sure my student can easily comprehend the information being given. I have most experience with Elementary but I am also very good with Prealgebra. It is also important to answer all questions and being open to listen to any comments my student has.

I am excellent with vocabulary because I enjoy learning new words. Everyday we all learn something new and we program it in our brains to remember it when we come across it the next time. Some of the ways I help my students is by playing games, giving quizzes, and going over the vocabulary together. I make sure to provide excellent feedback at a level that is best for my student than go higher as student begins to improve.
