"I have a master's degree in Developmental Psychology and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in psychology: Child Development. My academic background and work experience has given me a unique understanding of proven best practices when imparting knowledge to others. One such practice is the direct method that entails: Conducting classroom instruction solely in the target language without translation, teaching everyday vocabulary through pictures and objects, using an inductive approach for grammar instruction, encouraging students to think in the target language, correcting mistakes as they happen in class, and reinforcing correct language usage with praise. I have taught ESL since 2017 to non-English speakers using methods geared to each individual student that has proven successful. My hope and goal are to make each, and every student leave a tutoring session more knowledgeable on their subject matter. I specialize in Psychology, research writing (both qualitative and quantitative), grammar, spelling, vocabulary, creative writing, and editing.
I also specialize in Psychology, specifically, thesis writing, research and research papers, and the application of theories to everyday life and citations. I am an experienced online teacher using various platforms to carry out lesson plans. While I have the most experience teaching kids between the ages of 4 and 18, I am open and willing to teaching adult learners as well. Please feel free to contact me via Wyzant with questions and I will respond in a timely manner as I am aware that there are often deadlines attached to assignments. I appreciate feedback from both students and parents as it helps me to understand the students' needs more accurately and in turn provide optimal lessons to my students. I look forward to working with you!" less...
