"I have over 12 years of experience in cold-water aquaculture, including extensive training in biosecurity, fish health, and disease management. I hold an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) from North Georgia Tech and am a certified Wildland Type Two Firefighter. My training includes Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) planning, as well as fish disease identification and treatment, all obtained through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This knowledge is crucial in maintaining healthy aquatic environments and promoting sustainable aquaculture practices.

As a Hatchery Manager with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, I have managed the production of hundreds of thousands of fish annually, including rainbow and brown trout, overseeing all aspects of fish procurement, incubation, and stocking into over 45 water bodies in North Georgia. My experience in fish culture, hatchery systems, and ecosystem management has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of sustainable aquaculture practices and their impact on local ecosystems.

Throughout my career, I have mentored staff, interns, and colleagues, helping them gain valuable skills in aquaculture practices and fish health management.
