"Hello! salut tout le monde! My name is Nadine (French name!) and I grew up in Lebanon, the Middle East. I started learning French along with my native language Arabic since Kindergarten and I completed all my college studies in French. I studied English in Middle School and I took Italian classes when I was in college. I love Languages and culture because it makes me closer to people who are different than me...and I love being around people (Covid time is not helping at all).

I live with my husband, we have two kids (10 and 8) (both names are French) and a cat named Jack! I have been teaching French in the Portland Metro Area for 5 years as an after school program. These are some of the schools where I taught French (Lowrie Elementary, Archer Glen Elementary, Middleton Elementary, Edy Ridge Elementary, Lake grove Elementary, Palisades Elementary, Irvington Elementary), I also gave private lessons to families and have fun working with all ages and groups because acquiring a second language is unique to each person.

Some people start speaking from the first lesson, others take more time and that's completely normal. My style of teaching is a mix between books, handouts and fun activities to reinforce the lesson. I like to teach songs and play games especially for young learners because this is how we all started learning our native language! I am a friendly tutor but at the same time I like to give the best of my time to my students in this hour! No time to lose, I always have a packed lesson plan and would like everyone to participate. The more we repeat and hear the language, the more we learn!

Prior to teaching French, I taught Arabic at public schools and got trained to become a professional language tutor.
