"Hi, I'm Anthony! I'm a French native speaker from Bordeaux, in the south-west of France, where I spent most of my childhood and education. I've always been fascinated by languages and realized at a very young age that I wanted to devote my career to teaching my native language to English speakers. That's why in my early twenties, I started to travel to English-speaking countries to not only perfect my English and discover new cultures, but also to gain experience in teaching French as a second language. I had the chance to live in Great Britain and Ireland, and I have now been living in the US for about 12 years!

As for my qualifications, I have a Maîtrise degree in English Linguistics, Literature and Civilization from Bordeaux Montaigne University in France, as well as a Master's degree in French-English Translation from Kent State University in Ohio. I have been teaching French as a second language in higher education for 13 years now and have had the opportunity to entirely design and teach a wide range of courses from every level of language learning. I offer classes such as elementary & intermediate French for beginners, or French conversation, translation, linguistics, composition and literature for more experienced students. I'm as comfortable in the classroom as I am during one-on-one tutoring sessions. My students tend to describe me as a friendly, easy-going and relatable person, but also as a clear, patient and caring teacher. I hope you'll agree with them!

In my free time, I like to play video games, read comics, watch movies and shows. In the outdoors, I enjoy running, hiking, and working in the garden when the weather allows it.
