"Hello, I have been a professional guitarist all my life and have 30+ years of teaching experience. I also hold an Associates of Arts degree in Applied Music (highest honors) and degrees in Songwriting and Music Production. I was born and raised in Germany where I was a professor for Guitar and Band of the State School of Music in Hamburg. 2003 I relocated to Los Angeles and have been teaching here ever since. I was a guitar instructor for Westwood Music Academy until they closed down in 2020. Some of my students have gone on to pursue college education in Music. I enjoy teaching all age ranges and am trying to foster rapid growth for my students. I teach all kinds of styles except classical guitar although I also offer essential finger style techniques. Very often I will analyze contemporary music for my students and then teach them how to play it.
