"I'm Elizabeth! I graduated summa cum laude from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics. In 2020 I completed my PhD in chemistry at The Ohio State University specializing in chemistry. I have approximately 10 years of experience of tutoring for college general chemistry classes and analytical chemistry classes in a small group and 1:1 setting, and I also have 5 years of teaching experience for these classes as a teaching assistant in a classroom setting.
I love explaining difficult concepts in new ways to help the student better understand difficult subject matter. My teaching style emphasizing not just how to solve one particular problem, but also the logical steps on how to approach chemistry problems and how the concepts relate to each other. In our sessions I will make sure you understand the broad overview of the topic with some review from the previous session. I believe you learn chemistry best by practice, so we will work through problems together first. Then I will have you work problems during our sessions on your own with feedback from me once you have finished the problem.
I offer our first 1 hour session free of charge to see if we are a good match for tutoring. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to schedule a session. I aim to respond to contacts within a few hours." less...
