"Hi, my name is Rohit K. I am currently pursuing a degree in computer engineering at the University of Maryland at College Park, where my advanced coursework thus far has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in mathematics, computer science, and engineering principles. Over the years, I have honed my understanding of complex concepts in subjects such as algebra, geometry, calculus, and programming languages like Python. My academic work, combined with hands-on projects and practical coding assignments, has enabled me to build the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to help others succeed.
My teaching experience spans a variety of contexts and age groups, allowing me to tailor my tutoring approach to each student’s unique needs. In high school, I volunteered through math honor society to tutor younger students in mathematics, providing step-by-step guidance and encouraging them to find enjoyment in problem-solving. I also gained valuable communication skills by working as a swim instructor at a local community center, learning how to earn trust and instill confidence in my students. I also served as an instructor at Steamworks Studio at Princeton, where I taught middle school students the basics of the Python programming language and Arduino microcontroller to help bring their creative ideas to life. These experiences have helped me develop a patient, supportive teaching style that emphasizes clear explanations, hands-on practice, and the belief that anyone can excel with the right guidance and mindset." less...
