I am certified in United States History and World History and have Advanced Placement and Gifted Learner endorsements. Also, I have presented how to educate learners on history using primary source artifacts and literacy strategies at international and national conferences and am a member of the National Council for the Social Studies and the National Council of Teachers of English.

I view history as relational engagements; nothing happens in isolation. To put it another way, history is simply a continuous series of events between people. From city-states to countries, from Asia to the Americas, this series of events is an account of life. I believe identifying and describing these events through relational engagements, the way in which the events occurred, is the best way to learn and I rely on this approach to advance our learning of history.

For example, some learners may choose to discuss or brainstorm concepts while others may prefer a question-and-answer engagement.
