"Hi, I'm Talia. I have been teaching High School English for the past five years at a high school in Massachusetts. I graduated with my undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude in English and a minor in Psychology in 2017. I completed my Master's degree in Education from the University of New Hampshire a year later in 2018 as part of the five year accelerated master's program. I am an experienced tutor in a variety of subject areas and have been tutoring since 2015.
I first became interested in tutoring and teaching when I was in high school, wanting to help my peers work through writing and perfect writing skills. I continued tutoring while I was in college, working with local students in all subjects, but primarily focusing on English. I taught full time while in my master's program and tutored a student on the side in all subjects.
I have over 12 years of tutoring experience in English and all subjects. While I specialize in English and Literature, I am happy to accommodate for other subjects and am specialized in organization and self-motivation. I have not only worked with students for tutoring but as a high school teacher, often work with students of all levels and am happy to work with you to meet your needs. I have specific vocabulary and grammar programs I am happy to implement and am a certified AP Literature & Composition and AP Language & Composition teacher and can help you to work on any summer work or preparation for AP work for the next school year.
I am here for you first and foremost so please let me know if there are any specific skills you are hoping to work on or if you're hoping to work more on general organization of writing or school work overall. I am hoping to accommodate most times for virtual one-on-one tutoring so please reach out to schedule a session with me! Looking forward to working with you soon. :)" less...
