"Hello! I'm Effiel. I graduated from the Philippine Normal University with a degree in Biology Education, and I am currently pursuing my Master's in Microbiology.

From a young age, I have had a strong affinity for Science. I grew up watching Animal Planet and Discovery Channel, which fueled my passion for studying Biology. I am fascinated by the many processes occurring within the smallest living microorganisms, the complexities of the human body, and the interactions between organisms and their environments.

I have nearly nine years of experience as a classroom teacher, including eight years as a Senior High School STEM teacher focusing on Biology. Currently, I am teaching as a substitute in various elementary schools in Houston, Texas. I hold a Life Science teaching certification and I am studying for a Texas Elementary certification.

I have tutored students ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade in Texas. Additionally, I have provided online tutoring for high school STEM students, helping them navigate challenging Biology homework. For three years, I also worked as a part-time ESL teacher, instructing Korean students in phonics, grammar, reading, and writing.
