"Hello I'm Tina and I graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. degree in Chemistry and completed my teacher training and Master of Education degree in Comparative Global Studies Education and Development at the University of Hong Kong. I have 10 years of experience in teaching IB Chemistry Higher Level, which is equivalent to AP Chemistry in comparison to the US curriculum.

I think teenagers are fun to work with. Outside of normal lessons, I also conduct one-on-one and small group tutorial classes with students who needs extra help to make sure they are caught up with the progress. I especially like one-on-one lessons as I can improvise and customize the lesson to benefit the student's learning.

Other than students, I also enjoy communicating with parents to learn more about the students. It often helps me to understand how to assist the student better. I am currently tutoring students in different curricula, including IB, IGCSE, GCSE and A level Chemistry. I hope that my international teaching experience can give my students a better insight in learning Chemistry. I also taught Mathematics in school. With my background in science education, I like to bring mathematics into application so that students can see why they need to learn the topic.
