"I am an accomplished student and professional with over 7 years of experience in education, providing a high level of support and effective collaboration to students and consumers. I am a unique as I have a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a Master’s Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. These disciplines have trained me in understanding the applications of research, editing, and professional writing, within the humanities and sciences.

I have collaborated with colleagues to adapt, design, teach, and implement lesson plans and workshops for a diverse group of students in various types of settings. I have tutored high school students in reading and writing; and I currently work with students as a mentor, preparing them for college and career plans; as well as guiding students towards successful decision making while providing access to tools for scholarships, labor statistics, and college search.

I have extensive experience in research, writing, and editing. I wrote and edited more than 40 historical and theoretical papers; at least half of which were 15+ pages and publication ready. As a graduate student, I wrote an excess of 20 papers covering various topics such as medical aspects, counseling theories, case management, and more. I have clocked 100’s of hours conducting research. I am thorough and expedient in time management skills. I am exceptionally versed in Chicago Style citing, MLA, and APA.

I passed and earned my CBEST credential on the first try. I understand what study materials are needed and can be a good “study buddy” for those gearing up to take the CBEST exam.

Possessing degrees in both the arts and sciences, I have mastered note taking, reading comprehension, test taking, and time management.

As a trained historian I am an expert in analyzing sources and evidence, making historical connections, chronological reasoning, comparisons and contextualization, historical interpretation and synthesis, as well as supporting historical arguments.
