"Hello! My name is Jungwoo (but I go by Park). I am a rising junior at New York University, majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science with a minor in Economics. During high school, I accumulated about 450 volunteer hours, with 200 of those hours dedicated to teaching peers in math subjects (algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, SAT/ACT Math). I also held numerous study sessions, not only in math but also in other STEM subjects such as chemistry and physics.
Unlike other tutors, my first priority is understanding how the student learns best! I truly believe that there is no single method that works for every student. I also strive to make the student as comfortable as possible, which makes it easier for them to ask questions about concepts they don't understand. My motivation for tutoring comes from the genuine happiness students feel when they appreciate having me as a tutor. I have always loved making cheat sheets or formula sheets for my peers and sharing them to help others.
In terms of tutoring style, I teach concepts as clearly as possible and work diligently with the student to apply them to test questions. I have numerous resources available for extra practice if the student desires. I also create formula sheets upon request.
Don't hesitate to schedule a lesson or ask additional questions! I will be extremely happy to help you with your learning." less...
