"Hello, I'm Alex. I graduated with honors from high school, and I am currently enrolled at Cornell University where I am majoring in Engineering. Being fresh out of high school, I am fully aware that a teacher can make or break a class. I have found that teachers that are accessible, interactive, passionate, and knowledgeable beyond just the curriculum can foster an amazing educational experience. I use this experience to create personalized lesson plans. There is significant evidence that obtaining a true understanding on the 'why' and not just the 'what' is highly valuable to learning, and therefore this is the foundation on which I teach.

Recently, I have been specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) as when I was working for a University conducting research, I was able to utilize these subjects in a real world environment. Ultimately my work was published. I also have extensive tutoring in these subjects, as I began tutoring Algebra 1 when I was 13 years old, and over the years this has expanded to Chemistry, Biology, Physics (mechanics and electromagnetism), Algebra 2, Geometry, Calculus, and Engineering skills such as Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Manufacturing, and coding. Usually I tutor 1 on 1 as I prefer to take a more personalized approach. However, when called for I also would teach groups ranging from 2-3 kids to 10-12. I also understand that people live busy lives, which is why I would tutor either at my student's house, a local library, or online. Since I recently graduate high school, I understand not just the curriculum but also the learning environment, which allows me to better synchronize with in school education.

I think learning can be one of the most enjoyable and exciting experiences we get to experience.
