"Hello! My name is Stephen M. and I graduated with honors from Wake Forest University in 2009 with a double major in Mathematics and Economics (Bachelor’s degree). After my undergraduate experience, I completed a teaching program called Teach Kentucky that attracts highly qualified educators to teach in Louisville, KY. I taught for ten years at the Georgia Chaffee Teenage Parent Program (T.A.P.P.) for teenage mothers in Fairdale, KY.
I have taught several mathematics courses including MS Math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Business Math, and ACT Prep. My experience has been with small classes, typically of 8 to 12 students at a time. Given my small classes, I have developed strong tutoring skills and I am quite comfortable delivering one-on-one and small group instruction. I love seeing individual student growth both personally and academically!
