"Hello, I'm Jazmyn M.! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor's Degree in Deaf Studies, and a minor in Interpreting. I was first introduced to American Sign Language (ASL) when I was completing some electives for my degree in Elementary Education. Upon taking my first ASL class, I fell in love with the language, the people, and the culture! It was at this point that I switched my major to Interpreting, and would later finish my education and become a K-12 ASL teacher. After graduating UVU, I attend the University of Northern Colorado where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master's Degree in Teaching American Sign Language, along with my K-12 teaching license.

I have been teaching High School ASL for two years now. I have been teaching grades 9-12. I always allow (and push for) students to come in before school, after school, and anytime in between for extra help/practice. I especially look for those students who are struggling, and look to spend even more time with them. I do not want my students to fall behind. I take the appropriate time needed for each student and their individual needs.
