"I earned my masters degree and doctorate in American history from Marquette University. I have a degree in English from University of Wisconsin Green Bay. After I finished college, I became a historical interpreter. That means I was one of those people you see at an outdoor museum in costume who cooks over a fire, or shoots a musket, or works with groups of school children about history. I loved it; I had found my calling. Or so I had thought.
After doing that for several years I made the decision to again go back to school. I just needed to find my path to not just learning, but to enjoy learning. Today, I am the director of a whole museum where I still get to talk to young people and make history come alive for them. I still enjoy learning, and I still enjoy helping people to walk their own path to reaching their full potential, just as many people helped me.
