"Hello! I'm an early career impact investing professional with a master's degree in international economics and finance and a bachelor's degree in development economics and international relations, where I graduated at the top of my class. I've been providing private tutoring services to high school students since I was in college (2019), and with time have come to find the support and mentorship I'm able to provide very fulfilling.
I specialize in guiding students through the IB Diploma program, specifically in the subjects of Economics, English, and History (including Internal Assessments and the Extended Essay). When I was in high school, I found the unique demands of the program to often be quite challenging and confusing, and while I was able to achieve a full score of 45 I'd like to help my students find an easier path there. I had a similar experience with the US college application process, especially as someone with unconventional interests, and would not want all the insights I picked up from applying to an receiving offers from top schools to go to waste!
I find it most useful to assist students with a defined task or topic, whether working through a confusing economics concept or reviewing a college application essay. This makes for productive use of time, and allows the student to come away with tools and strategies that can be applied to other topics as well. I'm always happy to discuss further details to figure out what can best work for you!" less...
