"Hello! My name is Marian. I have a graduate level degree and TESOL certification. My teaching experience includes workforce training, substitute teaching in Illinois and owning my own day care facility. Currently, I teach and tutor global ESL students. My clients are professional people seeking to improve their English speaking skills. Many of my current clients are preparing to take the IELTS or TOEFL exams; however, I am willing to help students prepare for any of the Educational Testing Services (ETS) exams in a relaxed, online exchange.

There is a Czechoslovakian proverb that says, "Learn a new language and get a new soul."I enjoy teaching and tutoring ESL, because it allows me to play an essential role in helping my students develop new souls. I'm able to empathize with my students on their language acquisition journeys and I believe that my empathy serves my students well. Together we share in both their language acquisition triumphs and defeats. My goal is to have a positive and meaningful interaction with each student of my students.

Additionally, I can help with career development. I hold an MBA with an emphasis in Human Resource Management and have significant coursework toward a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In previous roles, I assisted both unemployed and underemployed people with reentering the workforce. Often times, reentry was contingent on "reinvention." I assisted people in evaluating their skill sets and the best way for them to move forward, professionally.
