"Hi everyone, I'm Niki! I graduated with honors at the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in History. In college, I took many classes that challenged me to improve my essay outlining, writing, and editing skills. I have published a law review at the Undergraduate Law Journal for Minority Women and am a passionate writer and editor.
Throughout my undergraduate education, I have helped other students polish their essays and research papers, encouraging them to learn editing and outlining techniques to improve their quality of writing. I have also mentored high school students through their college application process—from brainstorming compelling personal and optional statements to extensive editing until we reach the ideal final drafts. Additionally, I have assisted other pre-law students (such as myself) in their law school application process.
I believe that strong writing is not just about good grammar or structure—it’s about storytelling, clarity, and authenticity. My approach focuses on helping students find their voice while ensuring their writing is engaging, well-organized, and impactful. With my experience and attention to detail, I will guide students toward crafting statements that truly reflect who they are and what they can bring to their desired schools and programs.
I am set to start law school in Fall 2025 and understand firsthand how daunting the application process can be. My goal is to help students refine their writing so they can submit applications with confidence, knowing their essays effectively showcase their strengths and aspirations. Beyond applications, I am passionate about helping students improve their overall writing skills, whether for academic essays, research papers, or personal projects. Strong writing is a lifelong skill, and I strive to equip students with the tools to communicate their ideas effectively in any setting.
