"Dan was employed for many years by Digital Equipment Corporation (now part of Hewlett-Packard), mostly in the Boston area but also in Washington, D.C. and Europe. He held management positions in software engineering, product management and technical marketing. When at Digital and subsequently has managed or worked on numerous programs and projects in the financial services and health care industries. Prior to Digital he worked for Burroughs Corporation in both compiler and operating systems development. He currently manages his own small business providing software training and development, primarily database.

He has been teaching IT classes, primarily programming and database, for over twenty years at the University of Phoenix in Southern California. He was named outstanding IT Faculty of the Year 2012 in San Diego and is currently one of two lead IT Faculty for Southern California.

Dan has extensive experience in database design and development having worked on numerous projects in MySQL, SQL Server and Microsoft Access over the last ten years. His most recent project coupled PHP and Microsoft SQL Server to produce a robust real-estate collaterals management app. At the University he has taught database design and programming, Systems Analysis, Project Management, Java, and basic data science.
