My name is Edward and I'm excited at the possibility of being your Math tutor! I’m a recent graduate of Yale's MBA program and faculty member in Seattle University's math department. I have taught in public and private schools, 1-on-1, and in small group settings for over 10 years. My specialties include IB Mathematics (AI and AA), AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, SAT Math (scores below), GRE Math (scores below), ACT Math and the TMUA admissions exam. I bring a warm, non-judgmental and rigorous approach to my practice and look forward to seeing what works best for you.

As a high school teacher, I taught in LAUSD for four years and at the American International School of Quito in Ecuador for five years. During that time, I was the Math department chair and taught all math subjects through AP Calculus BC and IB Mathematics Higher Level. I was also the lead SAT Prep math instructor for Zorro SAT Test Prep. As part of my preparation and subsequent admission to Yale, I began tutoring GRE and GMAT Quant prep and enjoy working with adult learners. For GRE prep, I focus on Math, but can provide resources for the entire test. I often work with students who have multiple coaches, including one for Verbal, if that's their choice.

I hold a BA in Economics, an MA in Education from USC, and an MBA from Yale University. I keep up-to-date with test prep, having taken the Oct 2024 Digital SAT scoring an 800 in Math with a 1570 overall. I also regularly take the ETS GRE Practice Exams and typically score 170 on the Quantitative section.
