"Hi! My name is Graham W. and I’ve taught middle school ELA for 9 years. I taught in Boston, MA for 7 years and currently teach 5th grade in New Bedford, MA. Throughout my 9 years of formal teaching, I’ve tutored students on the side from grades 4th-12th. It’s been an incredible part of my job and I truly enjoy the one to one/small group instruction.

Much of the work I do deals with helping struggling readers and writers reach grade level expectations or push students who already meet those expectations to the next level. I also am very experienced with the writing process and familiarizing students with brainstorming, planning, rough drafting, editing/revising, and final drafting. Lastly, I specialize in helping students stay organized with school work and materials.

What makes me a strong English tutor is my experience and that I’ve worked with a wide variety of students. Working at a school, I have an incredible amount of resources at my finger tips. A large part of my job is building and implementing my own curriculum and differentiating that curriculum based on my students’ needs
