"Hello, I’m Sarah! I received my Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from UC Irvine and then later attended UC San Francisco where I earned my PharmD degree. Throughout my years as a student, I realized the most challenging courses were made manageable by instructors who strived to make the classes more engaging and enjoyable. These instructors also made it known that they were always available and more than willing to provide additional help. In the same manner, I hope to provide students with a comfortable atmosphere that allows them to freely ask questions without hesitation. Depending on the subject and student’s goals, I will adapt the tutoring sessions to best help the student gain mastery of the material.

I have 2+ yrs experience tutoring in elementary school math and science, Pre-calculus, and Algebra 1 & 2. All tutoring sessions were one-on-one and ranged from 1-1.5 hours. Depending on the student, these sessions were designed to help catch-up on material, gain extra practice, and/or prepare for an exam/test. I also have extensive experience proofreading essays for high school and college students. In the past, I have received essays from students to provide comments, suggestions, and edits via Google Docs. One-on-one meetings to further discuss the essays in-person were based on the student’s needs.
