"Hello! My name is Dave and I'd love to work with you as your tutor! Before beginning my current career in the technology field, I taught middle school and high school for 7 years, working specifically with learners who had identified learning differences like dyslexia and ADHD. I earned my Mississippi teaching certificate in 2016. I focused on the subjects of Math and History (American is my favorite!), and I dabbled in other areas like Grammar and Literature as well.

On top of my 7 years as a professional educator. I have privately tutored dozens of students ranging in grades from 5th grade to 12th grade. In my experience, students found it easier to learn if they felt like their tutor was willing to listen to their concerns and engage with them on a personal level. I therefore made sure to find ways to establish a good rapport with students. Getting a student to feel comfortable and safe became a sort of prerequisite to engaging with the content.
