I have tutored high school and college students in math and physics at KU, UMKC, JCCC, area community colleges and private high schools, and throughout the Johnson and Jackson County school districts, volunteered as a math tutor for GED students in downtown KC, worked as a paraprofessional at Mission Valley Middle School in Leawood, tutored math and astronomy at Syracuse University, and taught grade-school German in upstate New York.

I place an emphasis on teaching in a way that is graspable and retainable, working with the particular student's own way of learning, asking the student lots of questions as we go to develop his ability to articulate his knowledge, and building the student's own independent thinking and confidence.
