"Hi! My name is Patrick, and I'm a tutor with more than a decade of experience working with students of all ages, from elementary school students to adult learners returning to college.
My greatest strength as a tutor is my ability to connect with students from a wide variety of backgrounds, and to quickly and accurately assess each student's learning style and relationship to the material. This comes from a lifetime of educational experiences of all sorts of varieties.
I served in the Army and helped maintain my unit's Digital Training Management System, which gave me insight into the learning styles of everyone from rank-and-file soldiers just out of high school, to master's degree-educated officers. After the Army, I worked as a content developer for a textbook company, which gave me further insight into how students respond to a wide variety of material. And along the way, as I re-started my own education after my service, I worked as a substitute teacher, learning how to assist students in elementary school, middle school, and high school.
I welcome any resources or information that can help me help you - my goal is for you, the student, to achieve your goals, whether that's a specific test score or a final grade in a class. My tutoring focuses on your needs as a student, and your learning style as a person.
I hold an Associate of Arts degree, and I'm currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Feel free to contact me with any questions, or to schedule a lesson and get started!" less...
