"Hello! I'm Zoe, a current college student majoring in Chemical Engineering at University of Southern California. Most recently, I have taken courses in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Calculus II & III, MATLAB Programming, Physics, and Thermodynamics up until now and I've learned great study methods that I am excited to pass along. Back in high school, I took both the SAT and ACT and scored a 1510 and 34, respectively. Personally, I am a strong test taker, but I could not have obtained those scores without the help of my own Wyzant tutor in preparation for the exams! Thanks to him, I learned the best test-taking strategies that I will lead you through, like taking practice exams, walking through example questions, and optimizing your time during the test.
That is all regarding SAT/ACT prep, but I am also well-versed in math and science tutoring, especially calculus and chemistry. I have tutored others for about four years now (first year with Wyzant), and I have met with students one-on-one from 1st graders to peers in my grade. Through my experience, I have learned that a staple of tutoring is coming prepared, whether you are the tutor or the student. Depending on your goals, I will bring materials to each lesson that cater to your goals and make each lesson worth your time.
Some other quick fun facts about me: I am currently involved in scientific research with my university that focuses on carbon capture and sustainability, my favorite music genres are hip hop and musical theater, and I make the best chocolate chip pancakes.
