"I am a fourth year medical student at New York Medical College. I have a Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in history and math. I specialize in test prep, in particular with SAT/ACT, SHSAT, Regents and AP exams. Most of my students have gotten in 95th-99th percentile on these exams. I have an entire course prep set up to help breakdown the topics and to ensure success for every student. Additionally, I work on time management skills, reading, math, writing, etc through my guided practice exercises.
I believe that each student has their own personality and way of learning things that make it difficult for their school teacher to accommodate each student's needs. With that, I get to know my students and see what strategy best fits for them to fulfill their full potential. In college, I was part of a peer mentor program with autistic and ADHD students in my school and so I can empathize with students through the difficulties they're having with a particular subject and help them build their confidence and skills.
I had a 4.0 GPA in my major. In high school, I scored a 5 on my AP Bio, US history, Government, World history, and Statistics exams.I scored in the 99th percentile on my ACT and SAT exams.
