"I hold a PhD in Physics with 6 years of post-doctoral research and teaching experience. I have been tutoring intermediate and advanced Math and Physics topics for 15 years and programming for 10 years. This solid foundation and my gift for explaining the difficult and abstract in novel and easy-to-understand ways means that together you and I will dig into concepts and understand them on a deeper level. This approach avoids the so-called "memorization trap", which may help you pass an exam or a single homework assignment, but is ultimately not an effective way to learn.
I tutor all math subjects, from algebra on to college calculus (I, II, and III), linear algebra, and beyond. I tutor all levels of physics including AP physics, college-level physics, upper undergraduate courses, as well as graduate courses. I tutor Python, particularly in the basics of the language, Jupyter notebooks, and typical libraries, such as Matplotlib, Numpy, Scipy, and Pandas, among others.
I ask for 24 hours notice of a cancellation. I am responsive, punctual, and professional - and sometimes funny (if you appreciate math humor!).
I love tutoring because I love this stuff. And sharing it with my students, helping you find those "Eureka!" moments that bring you success in your class work and exam preparation, is a special kind of reward, all on its own.
I look forward to hearing from you and being your learning partner!" less...
