"Hi, I’m Jess! I graduated magma cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a minor in Spanish. I also have a Master’s degree in applied mathematics. As an undergraduate teaching assistant during my studies, I found my passion for helping folks build their confidence and realize their strengths in various math subjects. I began privately tutoring in 2013 and have almost 10 years experience teaching at all levels - from high school courses, standardized testing, and all the way through graduate level math.

I believe the most important factor when learning something new (or as intimidating as math can seem) is mindset. I bring a positive and encouraging attitude into my sessions and enjoy motivating my clients to do the same. I am also a huge believer in helping students develop a deeper understanding of concepts, rather than training for a specific problem. I enjoy watching my students grow in their understanding and self-confidence from session to session.
