"Hi, I'm Dior! I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health. More recently, I have taken graduate coursework in the field of Data Science. I realized that the classes that are most memorable today and had the greatest impact, were those where the professor made the class interesting. These professors were engaging, humorous, included real-world application, and were always eager to go the extra mile to help me understand when I needed clarity. I try to incorporate these qualities in my tutoring approach and do everything I can to make learning a fun and memorable experience. I format my lesson plans based on the individual needs/learning styles of my students, however, barring any specific needs, I usually start with: introducing the topic, gauging the student's understanding, building off of the students level of understanding to provide more depth, and lastly introduce fun, real life examples to apply the learning to.

I have over two years of combined experience as a teacher's assistant and tutoring at the collegiate level. I worked directly with students at various stages, which is why I believe it is very important to meet people where they are, rather than applying a one-size-fits all teaching style. I was able to help students during class time, as well as hold office hours after class. The subjects I have tutored include college algebra, human anatomy and physiology, and college writing.

I believe one of the best gifts in life is passing on your specialized knowledge to someone else in a fun and joyful way.
