"Hello! I am very excited to work with you or your kid to achieve a better understanding of math! I have a BS in Mathematics from Tulane University, 400+ hours of tutoring on Wyzant with no less than 5 stars on any lesson ever, and I'm currently pursuing my Masters of Education at Vanderbilt University.

My style is to simply help the student really understand what's happening behind the numbers, so memorization becomes less of a crutch. I take what is already known, no matter how basic, and show that you have the capacity to understand so much from it. I find holes in knowledge, fill them in, and then guide to your own understanding of the material. It's easier than it sounds (promise), and I've seen it benefit so many! You'll see improvement in only a few sessions.

What makes me outstanding is my compassion for students who struggle. Like many others here, I have a Bachelor's in Mathematics from a top ranking university. However, what separates me is my second Bachelor's in Psychology and my experience working with kids in therapy. I know how it feels to struggle--like you just "can't." It's a roadblock in and of itself, but together we'll remove it.

Location: I am available to meet at any public location in the Nashville area or directly in your own home (after the initial session). Travel time exceeding 15 minutes (roundtrip from Centennial Park) will be charged at 30% of lesson rate.

Cancellation policy: If you need to cancel, please make sure to give at least 24 hours of notice before the scheduled start time of the lesson to avoid any cancellation fees. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours of notice will be assessed a fee of 50% of the lesson cost, excluding travel time.
