"Hi I'm Austin! I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Middle Grades Mathematics. In college, I had the opportunity to learn from a teacher who has taught 6th through 8th grade for over 20+ years! While learning from her, I also had the pleasure of teaching alongside her while she guided me and helped mold me into the teacher I am today! I have now taught Algebra 1 in the high school setting for 3 years in multiple school districts. Needless to say I have seen an abundance of different students with different backgrounds and learning techniques! When instructing a class, I prefer to use the method of "I do, We do, You do". This method allows for me to gauge the students under standing of the task and the ability to help them where they are!
I have tutored several students in Math ranging from 5th grade all the way up to 12th grade. In my tutoring experience, I have worked with students 1-on-1 as well as in a small group of 2-4 in my classroom both before and after school. I have seen a majority of different learning strategies and love seeing the "light bulb" go off when a student understands the topic!
It is my mission in life to not only assist students academically but to help guide them to become great people in society. My way of completing that mission is through education. I would happily accept any suggestions, recommendations, or resources any parent or student can provide. I am easy to reach and will always provide quick responses. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to schedule a session!" less...
