"Hey Everyone! My name is Jordan, and I am here to take care of any and all number blunders! I graduated from the University of Houston in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I graduated Cum Laude, and with a minor in mathematics as well. Shortly afterward, I worked as an Aerospace engineer specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics! I have been always been fond of math and will continue to use math for the rest of my life, and my mission is to not only make students better at math, but to make it enjoyable for them to learn as well.
One of my favorite things about tutoring is the way that the tutor-student relationship develops over time. I have tutored 1-on-1 in person clients for a few years, which has exposed me to an array of personality types to cater to. I love tailoring the lesson to my students interests, and coming up with application problems revolving around their interests, as it makes the student eager to explore further and seek more knowledge in the subject. The teacher has a profound impact on the way students view a subject, so my goal is to do everything I can to make learning math a rewarding experience rather than one of frustration and indifference.
Learning math is like learning a new language, and it requires lots of practice and repetition. Because of this fact, I believe it is of utmost importance to never belittle student's abilities and exercise patience with them no matter what. I will go as slow or as fast as the student needs me to, and focus on their requirements throughout the entire session. I am responsive and easy to contact! If you are interested in trying me out, please don't hesitate to let me know and we can get started on those math migraines!" less...
