"Being a student, at any point in life, is challenging, and naturally requires support.
Through my five years of experience as a mathematics & writing tutor at Santa Barbara City College, and being a student myself, I have seen how often we can experience psychological barriers to learning. That is why through my own extensive work in therapeutic settings and studies in cognitive science, I am able to employ evidence-based tools for learning and provide a safe space using a trauma-informed tutoring approach.
I hold associates degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Liberal Arts and Science from Santa Barbara City college, and I am currently studying Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley.
My broad educational background and growth mindset allow me to adapt to the needs of a diverse range of students. My subjects include all levels of mathematics through college calculus, general science tutoring for high school and lower division college science, writing for any subject, essays for scholarships & university applications, and resume building.
In the past I have worked with students from all walks of life and ages ranging from elementary school students to formerly-incarcerated and adult students.
Learning is collaborative, and together we can cultivate a plan to help you best succeed on that upcoming exam, essay, or application. I look forward to meeting with you soon.
Take care,
