"I am a current medical student at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and a recent graduate of The College of New Jersey. I have over 80 hours of MCAT tutoring experience across various platforms. In addition to MCAT tutoring, I have tutored chemistry and organic chemistry at my undergraduate institution for 2 years, helping students in both an in-person and online setting. I enjoy seeing my students gain more and more confidence in themselves each session.
I took the MCAT exam in January 2021, where I scored 95th percentile, including 96th percentile on the Chemistry/Physics and Biology/Biochemistry sections and 100th percentile on Psychology/Sociology. My first few practice tests were below 500, and in just a couple months, I was consistently scoring at or above 517. I look forward to sharing some of my studying and testing strategies with you. Here is a little about my approach:
First lesson: Assess progress. Develop a personalized plan based on your schedule, goals, and test date. I will create a study schedule with you in between now and test date.
Subsequent lessons: Practice, practice, practice! We will go through challenging practice problems and develop approach strategies to address weaknesses. We can go over weaker content areas or talk through previously taken practice exams.
Before test date: Examine why questions are being missed on practice exams and specifically work on strategies to address those weaknesses. This will help you get those extra points from test to test!
*I recommend that students have access to their own question passages that we can review together during each session. Please feel free to message me with any questions!" less...
