"Hi, I'm Rachel! I graduated summa cum laude with honors with a degree in Biology and Molecular Biology in 2021. Throughout my academic journey, I developed a deep passion for helping students not only grasp challenging concepts but also find joy in subjects that often seem daunting. I am also six months away from graduating with a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine, and for three years during college, I was a teaching assistant for Human Microbiology, which further enriched my teaching experience.
In addition to my degree and TA experience, I have several years of hands-on experience tutoring students in high school and college-level science courses, focusing on personalized teaching approaches to fit each student's learning style.
My tutoring method involves breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, making them easy to understand and apply in real-world scenarios. I use various tools and techniques—visual aids, interactive problem-solving sessions, and practical examples—to ensure my students gain confidence in subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, and Physiology. I prioritize student engagement and offer follow-up support to ensure lasting understanding.
I also have experience working with students who have learning disabilities and can adapt my teaching methods to support their unique needs. I aim to create a stress-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring the material at their own pace.
I offer flexible scheduling and free consultation meetings to discuss your learning goals. For cancellation policies, I request a 24-hour notice. Feel free to contact me to set up a lesson or if you have any questions!" less...
