"I have been teaching social studies in a large public school for 15 years and teaching in several educational programs after school. My teaching experience is quiet varied in that I teach writing, reading, economics, regents prep for history and economics along with study skills and confidence building strategies. I enjoy teaching students of all levels and believe that everyone learns differently, meaning we all get to the same place in what we need to know but we get there in different ways.

I love teaching, coaching and instilling the skills, confidence and perspective in students so that they can be in independent learners. Mark Twain once said that "the secret to getting ahead is getting started." I fully believe this to be true. Students will achieve and start setting their own goals for academic success especially with the student-focused tutoring I provide.
