"Hello, my name is Melina. I have a bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Sport Sciences. I have worked with children since 2007 and I love it. I had the opportunity to coach swim teams for the past 10 years and worked with children between the ages of 4 through 16. I love teaching and making learning fun. I have taught middle school students science, biology match and English for a year and I am currently teaching ESL online with a Chinese company for the past year.

I have worked with children with Asperger syndrome in the past and I am comfortable and patient with ADD cases as well. My goal is to make teaching a healthy and fun environment and allow the students to learn different school subjects through activities and even songs.

I love nature and like to include tools in the classroom to make learning more fun and real!

TPR (total physical response) is a great tool that I like using during the ESL lessons, pictures and illustrations are my favorite too! I use lesson plans in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then explicitly teach the material. Afterwards I always ensure time for students to practice the material on their own. Of course the method can be adjusted based on the subject and student's individual needs.

I am a greek native speaker. I speak 4 languages but Greek is my mother language and I love to teach it. I have taught greek as a second language for over 2 years in the past and have worked in a class setting of 10-15 students.
