"Hi! I’m Dorothy! I love teaching! Listening for what you want to know, sharing what I know, and seeing new insights in your eyes, brings me great joy. I’m trained to tutor in any of several topics:

Music. My undergraduate degree is in Music Theory/Composition, with piano as my instrument. I accept students from elementary through high school.

Do you already play the piano, but have trouble in your hands, wrists, or shoulders, and you don’t know why? I am trained to recognize injuries due to physical positions at the piano. I can show you how to play more correctly, possibly with less pain.

Writing

My minor in college was English Literature. Need help with grammar, spelling, sentence structure? I can help you. I also teach several forms of creative writing, including essays, poetry, and short stories.

Bible

I’m an ordained Episcopal priest and have extensively taught Bible courses. I can help you make sense of the Bible, whether you’re a practicing Christian, a “spiritual but not religious” person, or not a member of any religion. I will design lessons around what you are hungry to learn.
