"I have tutored students since ninth grade and deeply enjoy seeing others master new or challenging material in record time. As such, one-on-one tutoring has helped me serve students from the primary all the way through college and beyond, with ages ranging from 8 to 75. Those that have worked with me closely know that I will break down the content to help them learn the material quickly and easily.

Personally, I majored in biology, chemistry, and mathematics at Manhattanville College and graduated with departmental and Summa Cum Laude honors. Later on, I received my Masters of Science in Mathematics from New York University.

Growing up, my professors showed me how elegant and fascinating the more abstract topics, especially in math and sometimes chemistry, can be. It was the encouragement and clear explanations of my favorite professors that kept me engaged with the material.

Now, I pass that on whenever I help my math, science, and Spanish students. I have been tutoring for the past 24 years and have helped over a thousand private students reach their academic goals. My approach emphasizes consistent and intentional practice when it comes to math problems. I also love to periodically point out why a certain formula or process works the way it does. I want to convey my excitement for the material and learning in general with my students to encourage them to explore their own insights. My desire is to help them become more familiar with the content at their own pace so that it is not intimidating.

Over the years, I learned that patiently and carefully explaining ideas from different perspectives makes a dramatic difference in my students' learning experience.
