"Hi, I'm Anantta! I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with my B.S. in Healthcare Studies with a focus on Healthcare Admin. I was a National Honors student, and took AP English, Statistics, Spanish, American History, and Physics in highschool and scored a 31 on my ACT. My mom is a teacher and previously worked as a professor at SMU, and I owe my love for teaching to her! Growing up, I loved watching her teach her students, and me, in a kind, patient, and encouraging manner. This led to me dipping my toes into tutoring, and I began working as both a private and Mathnasium tutor throughout high school and college.
Today, I work for a medical staffing company working with C-suite executives of hospitals and large healthcare systems on contract negotiation, compliance, financial forecasting and consulting for their contingent labor needs, but I still hold my love for teaching.
I strongly believe that every student has different needs, and it is important to cater to their specific learning style. By working as a tutor with both elementary, middle school, high school and college age students during my time as a private tutor and at Mathnasium, I've learned how to pick up on their learning styles quickly and mold my teaching style to fit theirs. Aside from the math AP classes I took, I received a 4.0 in college Calculus.
I received a 31 on the science portion of my ACT, and perfected the art of test taking under a time crunch. With standardized tests, it is often times more about answering questions in an effective manner, rather than quick one.
I think there is nothing more rewarding than watching a young child, or adult, gain confidence in themselves, and showcase their knowledge both in the classroom and real life. I often times find myself learning just as much from my students as they do from me! Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, or to schedule a session!" less...
